BLOG T2 27

Prostitution=Entertainment
  • When Polaroid announced that it will be discontinuing all film and products for instant film and will instead focus on digital photography,artists, the fashion world and hipster kids all over the world felt their hearts sink a little in their chest. And while Polaroid supplies are said to be still available until some point in 2009, those little square pictures that develop in front of your eyes will soon be extinct.
    This was a major problem for me. I like the way I look on Polaroid film. I know it sounds obnoxious and vain but isn't that what this whole newsletter is about in the first place?
    So I went on a search. I scoured eBay for Polaroid cameras and film in a desperate attempt to stock up - it was very Y2K. In the end though, I flaked out (too cheap).  I was very close to giving up and coming to terms with the fact that I would never see myself through the flattering lens of a Polaroid camera again.
    UNTIL!...
    I stumbled upon www.poladroid.net <http://www.poladroid.net/>  and my
    vain, self obsessed little world changed for the better.
    Let me explain...
    Poladroid is an extremely simple application you download onto your desktop (trust me, I'm the worst at anything computer related - it's easy). It's essentially the digital equivalent of a Polaroid camera and will turn any of your over-the-top, model-esque facebook main-pics into bleached out, vintage inspired, uber hip digital Polaroids with just a drag and a click!
    Now I know people are going to be all, "but it's not the same!!"
    To which I say, get over yourself! It's the best we're gonna get so deal with it.
